Side note after the fruit fast

Went to the store and without a thought until I went to pay I shopped like I was still on the fruit fast/feast.

Go figure.

Earlier I went out and picked up a cooked meal. It was good but what I am noticing is that these places are giving one person enough food for 2-4 people.

I think it's fair to say that I will not have a problem with my goal of eating 75% of meals raw.

21 Day Fruit Feast Has Ended

I made it 10 days. Not at all disappointed. This was my second attempt to complete a 30 and 21 Day Feast. On the 21st Day of the recent Feast I attended an informational by a heart doctor regarding heart disease and prevention. Guess what what what the Dr emphasized? "FRUITS AND VEGETABLES ARE YOUR FRIENDS". Kick the red meat to the curb and if you want or enjoy meat eat it in MODERATION and exercise 30 minutes a day and sweat.

Do your heart and body a favor and make fruit and or vegetables 50-75% of your meal intake (preferably raw/living). If that's to tough try one meal a day and work from there.

For breakfast today I'm starting with a smoothie that has mandarins, apple, blackberries, lemon and water.

What a kool and healthy way to introduce and enjoy fruits and veggies. Enjoy.

9/21 Fruit Fast/Feast (fell off the wagon)

I keep it real. Fell off the wagon today. I won't mention what I ate. Let's just say I'm plant based/vegetarian looking to eat 75% raw. Today was more like 24% and not all fruit. I'll be back on the routine tomorrow. Peace

7/21 Fruit Fast

Like I said before. Keeping it simple is good. Zucchini, grape tomatoes, dates and lemon juice makes for a nice end to the first 7 days. Refreshing, tangy, sweet and good. Try your own variations.

Enjoy! Peace

Day 3 of 21 Day Fruit Fast

Let's be honest folks. Don't look  for any extravagant meals. This is simple, easy to some degree and about as nutritious as it gets. So the following days will be picks of fruit and maybe some info on what types of physical activity I participate in.

This will be my second fruit fast in 3 months. Made it 2 weeks before(trip to NYC I enjoy vegan food/restaurants) and the goal this time is 3 weeks. Feel free to join me for a meal, a day, a week or the remaining days. Your body will love you for it. Enjoy.

Breakfast is a big bowl of grapes then to my sit ups, push ups, squats, toe raisers and firearm grips. I do this daily and try to ride my bike a few times a week.

Recovery ride

I felt great waking up after the Century. Had me a fruit smoothie and headed for the canal.

After the ride the thought crossed my mind to go get pizza!  We I opted for something else. Now that I'm full, no regrets. We'll get pizza another day.

#onelove #peace #bikelife Have a wonderful day!

Bucket List-Check!

Completed a 100 mile ride with Laverne and her organization http://bikeridearizona.com My goal was to be fruit fueled. Except for a small bag of fries and one bottle of Pedialyte mission accomplished.
Now after the ride I did partake in the pasta dinner and fellowship. Slept for 10 hours.

Dragon Fruit Treat

I've never tried dragon fruit but have heard about. I think is pretty and some think it's ugly. "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder".  Didn't know it came from a cactus. Anyway I saw one in the store and thought why not. There you have it. It's full of liquid and the seed offer a very suttle sweet taste. I'll try another one soon as I'm sure the ripeness may determine the flavor.

This happens to be fruit fast day 8. I'm participating in an October Fruit Fast for the first time and this was an opportunity to try something new. More to come. Peace.

Grapes 77 cents/lb

Let's not make it complicated. Check your ads and find what's on sale at different stores and go for it. Eating fruits and veggies does not have to be expensive. You'll find 2 for 1's, 5 for a $1, .99 specials, etc.

This morning is started off with a bowl of grapes. Was that easy or what?

Have a wonderful day. Peace.

Breakfast the simple way

This fruit bowl has become one of my favorite breakfast dishes whether I'm traveling or not. Think about it. How should or do you think the Dr inside you feels when you give them something to work with first thing in the morning?

This just happens to be my current situation.

Simple. Go get you favorite fruit, nuts, grain and some almond or soy milk.

Mix and match to your hearts content.

So there you have it. Easy, quick, tastey and nutritious.  Now have a bowl and have a wonderful day.

Peace

Salad or Subway?

Don't get me wrong I get my Subway fix on every now and then. My wife just came home with a sandwich from Subway. She would have brought me one but they didn't have the veggie patties. Next best think is to go fresh because that what I do to. Ha ha! Yes I'm entertaining my self and enjoying my salad on the patio on a hot summer day in the desert.

                            Or

I think you get the picture. Enjoy either one. I just happen to have my version.

Enjoy!

Getting Back to 75% or more raw.....

A couple of years ago that's where I was.  Stumble upon a youtube video (Rosemary Fletcher) that got my attention last year and now subscribe to the site You Heal You. If you don't know the story, check it out! Youtube has plenty info on her journey.

With that being said you will see more raw coming your way.  By the way she has some realy good ebooks as well.  I'm using the raw e-book to get jump started.
